The Beechcraft D95A Travel Air, predecessor of the Beechcraft Baron: a twin-engine aircraft at the cost of a Bonanza. In the air, the Travel Air is pleasantly balanced, stable and a joy to fly. If you are looking for reliability, safety and genuine travel comfort, this is the ideal package.It is a genuine four-seater touring aircraft that remains practical even when fully occupied. Two generous luggage compartments one in the nose and one in the fuselage offer plenty of space for weekend luggage or trips lasting several days. The interior also offers plenty of legroom in all seats.The Travel Air is not only a very comfortable and fast touring aircraft. It is particularly impressive on short runways. Thanks to its large landing flaps, even 500 m runways are no problem, even at MTOM. On a long-term average, we fly 147 kt IAS at 60% power with a very moderate consumption of 58 l/h (15 GPH) for both engines combined. For a twin-engine aircraft of this class, this is an excellent compromise between speed and economy.The Lycoming IO-360 engines are among the most proven and robust piston engines available GAMIjectors and a JPI engine monitor round off the package.The avionics of the D-GMVF have been upgraded in recent years with two new radios and two new antennas. Today, the aircraft is equipped with an Avidyne IFD440 and a Bendix/King KX165A.We have flown over 200 hours with the D-GMVF over the past four years and have grown to love it. It is reliable, versatile and simply a joy to fly.The Travel Air has just completed its annual inspection and has received a new ARC.
