However, it was damaged following a hard landing 'windshear' incident. At that point it was dismantled and taken by road to Wiltshire Aircraft Maintenance at Popham. The engine was removed and sent to SAS Ltd, Leicester. Over a period of time the aircraft was then reassembled with new wing bolts, NWLG replaced with Tecnam OEM parts and a new Hoffman propeller (SN:N82156) fitted. The aircraft was then ground run, prior to being considered fit for release to service and was then test flown, with no issues.Maintenance included:Gearbox removal, stripped and shock load inspected. Crankshaft runout measured (0.05mm, 0.08mm limit).
